Over four years as the sole in-house Graphic Designer at Abbotsford, the historic home of Sir Walter Scott, I directed most of the estate's visual communications from initial concept to final delivery. Working within the heritage sector allowed me to touch almost every brand touchpoint imaginable: site signage, wayfinding, promotional posters, event marketing assets, leaflets, menus, activity sheets and more. Alongside print collateral, I frequently stepped behind the camera to photograph the estate, film video footage, and manage their core social media channels to drive visitor engagement.
Bouchard and Brand was a collaborative branding project where I led the overall brand strategy and core visual identity. I developed the primary logo, curated a rich color palette, designed custom illustrative assets, and built comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure visual consistency. Working alongside a cross-functional team of design professionals, we collectively shaped the business strategy, website design, product packaging, and physical touchpoints to create a cohesive luxury brand experience.
Rachel Raven, an integrative psychotherapist and holistic practitioner, needed a tailor-made visual identity that balanced her professional clinical services with her spiritual wellness background. I developed a warm, sophisticated palette of muted gold and off-white, paired with a modern sans-serif and sturdy serif typography system to evoke luxury and trust. In addition to creating a custom logo and illustrative assets for future brand touchpoints, I provided marketing consultation and designed her complete website and social media collateral.
Exploring apparel design allows me to push my creative boundaries outside of traditional branding. For Chakra Pants, an alternative clothing brand, I developed a complete identity system including the logo mark, custom typography, and a vibrant color palette suited for lifestyle wear. I also regularly design custom graphics for personal projects, including bespoke t-shirt prints. For me, design isn't just a profession, it's a personal passion that flows into every creative project I take on.
